Roush first started rapping back in 2009 on his first mixtape "Know My Name" in 2009 featuring artists such as Jason Derulo, Stat Quo, Redman and skits on the album used audio recordings of Biggie's voice.

Roush made headlines in 2015 when he attended a New York Rangers game and spent $4,500 on seats. He was then interviewed by Scott Oake about how much money he had spent and in that interview and his most notable line in that interview is "Benjamin Franklin is killin' the game!". Roush became popular online after that interview and made the headlines of Vice Sport, ESPN and USA Today. According to Roush in a Behind the Scenes video shoot of his music video for "4500", Roush was invited to the Rangers game and his friends said they should put him on TV, but he had no intention of doing an interview. When asked what channel the interview is for, Roush was told it would only air on Canadian sports TV and nobody would see it, so he decided to act "extra idiot". According to Will, he was in the recording studio working on a totally separate thing and then he was approached by Matt Schilt with the news that musical producers, The Fliptones made him something, which turned out to be the instrumental track for "4500", he recorded a freestyle over the track and invited Mason Plumlee to rap on the track too when he decided to visit the recording studio.
