The Horticulture and Gardening project aims to enrich and organize content for the topics of horticulture and gardening. Subjects include gardens, horticultural practices, plants, animals and pathogens that affect plants and gardens, soil, and so on. Currently, many of the category pages related to this field are in serious disarray.

Formats for articles covered by this project should follow those established in each category. However, some changes might be needed in some of the articles, such as adding culture, pest and disease, hardiness, etc. to plant articles.

Horticulture and gardening focuses on cultivation aspects of following plants 1. Pomology (Fruit culture) 2. Olericulture (Vegetable culture) 3. Floriculture (Ornamental plants including landscpaing) 4. Spices 5. Mushroom culture 6. Plantation crops Postharvest technology of horticultural crops(Harvest science): Deals with handling of horticultural crops after harvest.
