West Leechburg is a borough in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,294 at the 2010 census.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 1.0 square mile (2.6 km2), of which, 0.9 square miles (2.3 km2) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.26 km2) of it (7.00%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,290 people, 542 households, and 405 families residing in the borough. The population density was 1,388.3 people per square mile (535.6/km²). There were 573 housing units at an average density of 616.7 per square mile (237.9/km²). The racial makeup of the borough was 98.14% White, 0.47% African American, 0.23% Asian, 0.08% Pacific Islander, 0.39% from other races, and 0.70% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.62% of the population.
There were 542 households out of which 27.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 62.0% were married couples living together, 9.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.1% were non-families. 22.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 12.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.38 and the average family size was 2.77.
