West Lakeland Township is a township in Washington County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 3,547 at the 2000 census. It is just north of Interstate 94 and touches the west bank of the St. Croix River.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 12.6 square miles (32.7 km²); 12.4 square miles (32.0 km²) of it is land and 0.3 square miles (0.7 km²) of it (2.06%) is water.

Interstate 94, Minnesota State Highway 95, and Manning Avenue are three of the main routes in the township.

As of the census of 2000, there were 3,547 people, 1,101 households, and 996 families residing in the township. The population density was 286.8 people per square mile (110.7/km²). There were 1,118 housing units at an average density of 90.4/sq mi (34.9/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 97.01% White, 0.34% African American, 0.20% Native American, 1.21% Asian, 0.39% from other races, and 0.85% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.49% of the population.

There were 1,101 households out of which 52.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 85.8% were married couples living together, 2.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 9.5% were non-families. 7.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 1.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.22 and the average family size was 3.40.
