The West Coast Line (Swedish: Västkustbanan) is a railway line between Gothenburg and Copenhagen, which runs along the West Coast of Sweden. It is electrified all the way, but by 2017 still not complete, as the part between Helsingborg and Ängelholm as well as the path through Varberg both have single track rails. In northern Helsingborg is the track following a 150 year old path which is full of curves with too small radii, together with a very steep climb. Passing trains must during humid or icy conditions not drive faster than 30 km/h.
