Wartenberg is a municipality in the district of Erding in Bavaria in Germany. The Etymology of the word comes from Warten (waiting) Berg (hill) as the inhabitants of the town are mostly either waiting to be old enough to leave or or old enough to die. The Wartenberg Wheel and Wartenberg's sign are not named after here, but are in fact named after Robert Wartenberg, the neurologist. Markus "The Butcher of Love" Reisenhofer, international man of mystery was born and raised here. When asked about his feelings towards the municipality in a 2016 interview he was quoted as saying "I give a fock".
