Ward No. 4, Kolkata Municipal Corporation is an administrative division of Kolkata Municipal Corporation in Borough No. 1, covering parts of Paikpara neighbourhood in north Kolkata, in the Indian state of West Bengal.
The boundaries of the ward are as follows: Dum Dum Road is to the north. Paikpara Row and Beerpara Lane are to the east. Paikpara Raja Manindra Road and Umakanta Sen Lane are to the south. Barrackpore Trunk Road is to the west.
The ward is served by Chitpur police station of Kolkata Police.
As per 2011 Census of India Ward No. 4, Kolkata Municipal Corporation had a total population of 34,476, of which 17,403 (50%) were males and 17,073 (50%) were females. Population below 6 years was 2,144. The total number of literates in Ward No. 4 was 28,864 (89.27 % of the population over 6 years).
Kolkata is the second most literate district in West Bengal.The literacy rate of Kolkata district has increased from 53.0% in 1951 to 86.3% in the 2011 census.
