Ward No. 36, Kolkata Municipal Corporation is an administrative division of Kolkata Municipal Corporation in Borough No. 5, covering parts of Beliaghata and Sealdah neighbourhoods in central Kolkata, in the Indian state of West Bengal. It forms a city municipal corporation council electoral constituency and is a part of Beleghata (Vidhan Sabha constituency).
The boundaries of the ward are: Dr. M.N.Chatterjee Sarani is in the north. The Circular Canal is to the east. Beliaghata Road is to the south. Acharyya Jagadish Bose Road and Acharyya Prafulla Chandra Road (with hump flyover) are to the west.
As per 2011 Census of India Ward No. 36, Kolkata Municipal Corporation, had a total population of 27,238, of which 16,743 (61%) were males and 10,495 (39%) were females. Population below 6 years was 2,142. The total number of literates in Ward No. 36 was 16,648 (66.34% of the population over 6 years).
