Ward No. 3, Kolkata Municipal Corporation is an administrative division of Kolkata Municipal Corporation in Borough No. 1, covering parts of Belgachia neighbourhood in north Kolkata, in the Indian state of West Bengal.
The boundaries of the ward are as follows: Dum Dum Road, Umakanta Sen Lane, Paikpara Raja Manindra Lane and Kshudiram Bose Sarani are to the north. Eastern Railway line and Jiban Krishna Ghosh Road are to the east. Jiban Krishna Ghosh Road is to the south. Anath Nath Deb Lane, Paikpara Row and Beerpara Lane are to the west.
The ward is served by Ultadanga and Chitpur police stations of Kolkata Police.
As per 2011 Census of India Ward No. 3, Kolkata Municipal Corporation had a total population of 53,855, of which 27,636 (51%) were males and 26,219 (49%) were females. Population below 6 years was 4,358. The total number of literates in Ward No. 3 was 42,933 (86.74 % of the population over 6 years).
According to the District Census Handbook Kolkata 2011, 141 wards of Kolkata Municipal Corporation formed Kolkata district. (3 wards were added later).
The ward forms a city municipal corporation council electoral constituency and is a part of Kashipur-Belgachhia (Vidhan Sabha constituency).
