It forms a city municipal corporation council electoral constituency and is a part of Tollyganj (Vidhan Sabha constituency).
The boundaries of the ward are: Raipur Mondal Para Road is in the north. Raja Subodh Chandra Mullick Road is in the east. Tolly’s Nullah is in the south. Naktala Road and Khanpur Road is in the west.
