Wadhwan-Rajkot metre gauge section of Morvi State Railway laid in the year 1890. Rajkot-Wadhwan section was completed in the year 1905 by Morvi State Railway. Later Morvi-Wankaner section was converted to Metre gauge in 1924 to match rail lines of other state.
