Wandoor is a town in Malappuram district of Kerala, India at 11°11′44″N 76°14′09″E / 11.19556°N 76.23583°ECoordinates: 11°11′44″N 76°14′09″E / 11.19556°N 76.23583°E. It is located 30 km away from Malappuram
The town is growing due to the hundreds of NRIs and their remittance plays a major role in local trade and business. Many of the old buildings here are being replaced by modern complexes.
Wandoor Siva Temple is the oldest worship place in wandoor. The lord Siva of this temple is known as thriu wandoor appan from which the name wandoor derived. Wandoor Valiya Jamaeth Palli, the oldest mosque in the area, is famous as one of the only mosques, that still uses Nakara, a drum, to announce the call for prayer, instead of modern sound speakers. Karunalaya Hospital, built in 1958 by the American missionary Henry Otten is located in Wandoor.
The Otten English School has over 700 students and now has students graduating with high-school equivalent degrees.
