WAPDA are a Pakistani football club who play in the Pakistan Premier League.
WAPDA have been Pak Champions 7 times. They won their first title in 1983, beating HBL FC, and repeated this feat in 1991 against HBL. In 2001 they overcame KRL FC to win their third title, and retained their title in 2003 against Pakistan Army FC. In 2004 in the revamped PPL, they became the inaugural champions, when they pushed Army into second in a final day decider.
They repeated the same feat, this time in the 2007–08 season, when they again beat Army on the final day of the season to win back the league after a gap of 3 years, in which Army dominated. They also set a new record going undefeated for the whole season, becoming Pakistani football's version of Invincibles.
Since the turn of the millennium, WAPDA have become one of the three dominant clubs in Pakistan. This has been aided by the quality of the football played.
They represented Pakistan in the AFC President's Cup 2005, and beat that year's runners-up Dordoi-Dynamo, 1–0, but were knocked out at the group stage.
