Vitaliy Kafanov (born 24 May 1960) is a retired Kazakhstani-Turkmenistani football player. He is a goalkeepers' coach with FC Rostov.
He began his career with Kolkozchi Ashkhabad, before spending one season with Uralmash Yekaterinburg in the Soviet First League and finishing his career with FC Kairat.
Kafanov made six appearances for the Kazakhstan national football team in 1992. He later appeared twice for the Turkmenistan national football team.
Following his playing career, Kafanov became a manager, most recently with FC Rubin Kazan.
