Verdel is a village in Knox County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 30 at the 2010 census.
Verdel had its start at its current site in about 1902 when the Chicago and North Western Railroad was extended to that point. The name Verdel is derived from the Spanish word verde, meaning "green".
Verdel is located at 42°48′41″N 98°11′36″W / 42.81139°N 98.19333°W (42.811474, -98.193289).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.17 square miles (0.44 km2), all of it land.
As of the census of 2010, there were 30 people, 20 households, and 7 families residing in the village. The population density was 176.5 inhabitants per square mile (68.1/km2).
