Vanderbilt Avenue Line

The Vanderbilt Avenue Line is a public transit line in Brooklyn, New York City, running along 7th Avenue and Vanderbilt Avenue between Kensington and Dumbo. Originally a streetcar line, it is now the B69 bus route, operated by MTA New York City Bus' Jackie Gleason Depot in Sunset Park.

The B69 bus route starts at McDonald Avenue and Cortelyou Rd in Kensington. This terminus is shared with the B67. Then the two routes proceed up McDonald Avenue to 20th Street. Here, buses use either 19th Street going north or 20th Street going south until 7th Avenue, where the two routes cut over to 7th Avenue. From there, the lines run along that corridor, serving business and connecting to multiple bus and subway lines until Flatbush Avenue, where the B67 goes north to Downtown via Flatbush Avenue. The B69 meanwhile heads south on Flatbush, and goes around the Grand Army Plaza to head back north on Vanderbilt Avenue. Once there, buses run up the length of the street until it meets Flushing Avenue, until it runs west on Flushing Avenue. This segment is shared with the B57. At Navy St, the B69 cuts over to Sands St and runs along Sands Street until its terminus at Sands St and Pearl St, just south of the York St station.

The route serves Bartel Pritchard Square, Prospect Park, the New York Methodist Hospital, Grand Army Plaza, and the Brooklyn Navy Yard. It also connects with the B25, B26, B38 Limited, B41 Limited, B45, B52, B54, B57, B61, B62, B65, B67, B35 Limited bus routes and the following subway stations:
