Unwindia is a genus of basal ctenochasmatoid, though more recent analysis might place it in Lonchodectidae. It is noted to be "aberrant" pterosaur from the Late Cretaceous. It is known only from a partial skull recovered from the Santana Formation of the Araripe Basin in northeastern Brazil, which was dated to the Cenomanian stage. This species was named Unwindia trigonus by David M. Martill in 2011. The skull length was estimated at 300mm, which would indicate a wingspan of over 3 meters. This would make Unwindia the largest member of the Lonchodectidae, as well as the first species to be identified from the southern hemisphere.
