Universidad Iberoamericana León (IBERO León) is a private, Jesuit university located in Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico which was founded in 1978 to extend the reach of Universidad Iberoamericana to the state of Guanajuato and the Bajio region. It is a part of the Mexican .
Universidad Iberoamericana León is a private entity, created and governed by Promotion of Culture and Higher Education Bajio, AC, which provides instruction at all levels of education, fosters cultural and scientific activities, promotes scientific research and cultural and literary endeavors, and undertakes complementary activities.
"The Mission of the Universidad Iberoamericana León is, through educational activity at the university level, to make an effective contribution to make Mexico a freer, more productive, just, and united country. This mission affects all levels of university functions: in teaching with the formation of capable men and women with and for others; in research by encouraging a more appropriate culture for human living; in broadcasting as space for reflection, dialogue, and discernment; in various professional and practical services for the transformation of society."
