The 1972 United States presidential election in Kentucky took place on November 7, 1972, as part of the 1972 United States presidential election. Kentucky voters chose nine representatives, or electors, to the Electoral College, who voted for President and Vice President.
Kentucky was won by incumbent President Richard Nixon (R–California), with 64.2% of the popular vote, against George McGovern (D–South Dakota), with 26.0% of the popular vote.
