The 2018 United States House of Representatives elections in Iowa will be held on November 6, 2018, to elect the four U.S. Representatives from the state of Iowa, one from each of the state's four congressional districts. The elections will coincide with the gubernatorial election, as well as other elections to the House of Representatives, elections to the United States Senate and various state and local elections.
Republican Rod Blum, who has represented the district since 2015, was re-elected to a second term with 54% of the vote in 2016.
The 1st District went for Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election 49%–45%, after voting for Barack Obama 56%–43% in 2012.
Henry Gaff, co-chair of the Iowa Green Party, announced he is running as a Green Party candidate. Gaff is only 18, meaning he will not meet the U.S. Constitutions's required minimum age of 25 to be elected to Congress.
Democratic Representative Dave Loebsack, who has represented the district since 2007, was re-elected to a sixth term with 54% of the vote in 2016. Loebsack is running for re-election.

Dr. Christoper Peters, the Republican candidate in 2016, is expected to announce his candidacy on Sunday, July 23rd. Potential candidates include State Representative Bobby Kaufmann.
Republican David Young, who has represented the district since 2015, was re-elected to a second term with 53% of the vote in 2016.
