Union Township is a township in Centre County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is part of the State College, Pennsylvania Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 1,383 at the 2010 census, up from 1,200 at the 2000 census.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 46.8 square miles (121.1 km2), all of it land.
Union Township is bordered by Snow Shoe Township to the northwest, Boggs Township to the northeast, Benner Township to the southeast, Huston Township to the southwest, and Rush Township to the west.
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,200 people, 448 households, and 361 families residing in the township. The population density was 25.8 people per square mile (10.0/km²). There were 506 housing units at an average density of 10.9/sq mi (4.2/km²).
