Ukrainian Postal Service or Ukrposhta (Ukrainian: Укрпошта) is the national state enterprise of Ukraine, a member of Universal Postal Union since 1947 and owner of national stamp issuing enterprise "Ukraine Stamps" (Ukrainian: Марки України).
Ukrainian Postal Service “Ukrposhta” has been a member Universal Postal Union (UPU) since 1947. It started to operate as an autonomous economic unit since 1994, following Declaration of Independence of Ukraine. In July of 1998 "Ukrposhta" was restructured by the government request. Now it is managed by the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Decrees. “Ukrposhta”'s activities are regulated by the Law of Ukraine “On Postal Service” (in force since October 4, 2001) and other laws including regulations of the UPU.
