Tyndall (pronounced TIN'-duhl) is a city in Bon Homme County, South Dakota, United States. The population was 1,067 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Bon Homme County.
Tyndall was established in 1879 as the county seat of Bon Homme County. It was named for John Tyndall, a British physicist who had paid a visit to the United States.
