Tuas Depot (Simplified Chinese: 大士车厂; Traditional Chinese: 大士車廠) is a train depot expected to open in 2017 located between Tuas West Road and Tuas West Drive in Singapore. It will be constructed by Jurong Primewide Pte Ltd at a contract sum of S$237.1 million. The depot will provide maintenance services for the East West Line of the Mass Rapid Transit network, and is directly linked to the upcoming Tuas Link MRT station. Construction of the 10,000 square metres (110,000 sq ft) depot together with the four stations of the Tuas West Extension started in late 2011 and is expected to be completed by 2017. The depot will have space for 60 trains.
The depot is located off Tuas Link station on the East West Line and has 2 reception tracks: 2 tracks Eastbound towards Tuas Link station
In the future, Tuas Bus Terminal will be moved to a site on the roof of Tuas MRT Depot.
The area designated for the proposed bus terminal is approximately 10,000 sq metres which is accessible via a ramp connecting directly to Tuas West Drive or another ramp structure connecting to Tuas Link 4.
The future bus terminal would have a naturally ventilated Concourse Area with facilities such as 2 Passenger Service Offices, 2 separate Offices for Main and Secondary Operators, Administrative Office, Staff Lounge, Canteen and other rooms. Passenger lifts connect the ground level and the bus terminal.
For security reasons, the bus terminal, including its driveways and bus parking area is intended to be fully lockable and secured against illegal entry after operation hours and is intended to be maintained as a restricted and controlled area with no access by unauthorized personnel.
