Truman is a city in Martin County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 1,115 at the 2010 census. The U.S. Census Bureau estimated 2011 population is 1,106.

Truman was platted in 1899. It was named for Truman Clark, the son of a railroad official. A post office has been in operation in Truman since 1899.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.09 square miles (2.82 km2), all of it land.

Minnesota State Highway 15 serves as a main route in the city.

As of the census of 2010, there were 1,115 people, 479 households, and 298 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,022.9 inhabitants per square mile (394.9/km2). There were 541 housing units at an average density of 496.3 per square mile (191.6/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 97.6% White, 0.2% African American, 0.2% Native American, 0.6% Asian, 0.4% from other races, and 1.0% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.4% of the population.

There were 479 households of which 29.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 48.9% were married couples living together, 9.2% had a female householder with no husband present, 4.2% had a male householder with no wife present, and 37.8% were non-families. 32.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 18.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.23 and the average family size was 2.79.
