Tom McArthur (linguist)

Tom McArthur is a British linguist, and editor of English Today. He compiled the Longman Lexicon of Contemporary English as the first thematic monolingual learner's dictionary, complementing the Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English by bringing together sets of words with related meanings, and later published an English Language title in the Oxford Companions series. He has also published paperbacks on the Bhagavad Gita.
