Tom Gleeson (born 2 June 1974) is an Australian stand-up comedian and radio presenter.
Gleeson was born in Gunnedah, New South Wales before moving to Sydney at a young age. He attended St. Joseph's College, Hunters Hill, graduating from the Catholic GPS school in 1991. Over the next six years, Gleeson studied at the University of Sydney, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Physics.
During his degree, Gleeson moved into the entertainment industry. In 1999, he was a part of a four-piece Australian band called The Fantastic Leslie, along with Andrew Hansen from The Chaser, Cameron Bruce from The Sideshow, and James Fletcher. Gleeson played the drums and occasionally vocals.
In 2003 and 2004, as a young man, the red-haired Gleeson appeared Network Ten's sketch comedy program skitHOUSE where he played various characters including the Australian Fast Bowler, a parody of Dennis Lillee.
He is a regular on the Seven Network's The Morning Show, on which he appears every Friday morning and a regular panelist on Ten's The 7PM Project and Good News Week. He has also made guest appearances on Seven's Sunrise and Thank God You're Here, on ABC-TV's The Sideshow and The Glass House on Nine's Big Questions and on Ten's Rove. In 2006, he won Australia's Brainiest Radio Star and in 2008 Gleeson was a panelist on the short-lived Big Brother's Big Mouth. He also did TV commercials for Red Rooster.
