Thiruttani is a town in the state of Tamil Nadu, India, famous for being birthplace of Indian President Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and also birthplace of Chief Minister of Madras Presidency B. Munuswamy Naidu. It is located 78 kilometres (48 miles) from Chennai, 602 kilometres (374 miles) from Hyderabad , 254 kilometres (158 miles) from Bengaluru, 329 kilometres (204 miles) from Tiruchirapalli, 44 kilometres (27 miles) from Kanchipuram, 65 kilometres (40 miles) from Tirupathi, 160 kilometres (99 miles) from Thiruvannamalai, 14 kilometres (8.7 miles) from Arakkonam and 15 kilometres (9.3 miles) from the state of Andhra Pradesh. Lord Muruga's one of the arupadai veedu(six places were Lord Karthikeya halted along with his entire army), one being tiruttani, this reason makes this town famous and a major source of income revolves around the Thiruthani Murugan Temple.
