Timshel is a privately held data service startup company run by Michael Slaby, who was formerly involved in the digital initiative of Barack Obama's presidential campaign. Timshel has around 50 employees and has offices in Chicago and New York.
Timshel utilizes "personalized digital engagement" and was part of a "broader strategy by the Clinton campaign to look at all the ways her campaign was interacting with her potential supporters and made sure they were coordinated." They took information such as email addresses, information from door knockers, social media data, and other complicated information and helped the campaign sort through it and put it together in a way that they could react and respond.
As of April 2016, Timshel has approximately 20 clients, which include the UN Refugee Agency (USA for UNHCR) and Fabretto, a US nonprofit that serves disadvantaged children in Nicaragua.
