Timberlake is a census-designated place (CDP) in Campbell County, Virginia, United States. The population was 12,183 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Lynchburg Metropolitan Statistical Area.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 11.3 square miles (29.3 km2), of which 11.2 square miles (29.0 km2) is land and 0.12 square miles (0.3 km2), or 1.12%, is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 10,683 people, 4,523 households, and 3,152 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 1,211.8 people per square mile (467.7/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 91.13% White, 5.42% African American, 0.28% Native American, 1.71% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 0.47% from other races, and 0.97% from two or more races.
