The Prince of Egypt is a musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, and a book by Philip LaZebnik. Based on the 1998 film of the same name, the musical is an adaptation of the Book of Exodus and follows the life of Moses from being a prince of Egypt to his ultimate destiny to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt.
The Prince of Egypt retells the biblical story of Moses, who grows from orphan to spoiled Egyptian prince and finally into the savior of the Hebrews under the oppression of his brother, Ramses.

Prince of Egypt will debut at TheatreWorks in Palo Alto, California on Oct 14, 2017. The show will have an international premiere on April 6, 2018 in Denmark at the Fredericia Teater.
