"The Last Day on Earth" is a song by Australian singer Kate Miller-Heidke for her second studio album, Curiouser. It was released on 24 July 2009 as the album's third single and has since been certified 3× platinum by ARIA. It was Miller-Heidke's first platinum-selling single.

Not initially intended for release as a single, the song was used in promo advertisements for Australian soap opera Neighbours, and the song then began selling digitally, and peaked at number 2 on iTunes. When the song debuted on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart at number 35, it was announced that the song would be released as a physical single. A CD single was quickly produced, and released on 24 July 2009 in rush release. After the release of the physical single, it became a huge success for Miller-Heidke, making a dramatic leap from number 35 to number 7, becoming her first ever top ten hit. The single peaked at number 3 on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart for six weeks, and reached number 1 on the ARIA Australian Singles Chart, staying there for 6 weeks in a row. "The Last Day on Earth" lasted in the Top 50 for 25 weeks in total. The single contains only one song as it was rushed into production. "The Last Day on Earth" was nominated for Single of the Year at the 2009 ARIA Awards.

The song was used in Piers Morgan's Life Stories: Dannii Minogue (broadcast in the UK on ITV1, 31 October 2009) in a segment discussing sister Kylie's cancer. The episode achieved the series' best ratings with 4.5 million viewers for its first transmission. A longer version of the show was repeated on ITV2 over subsequent months. The song was also used on the UK ninth series of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! spin-off I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!: Coming Out on 7 December 2009 and on the US TV Show The Big C. The Australian hit TV show, Dance Academy, used it as music for one of the dancer's solo, in the episode, "Showcase."
