The Greatest Songs of the Eighties is Barry Manilow's 38th album, and follow-up to his 2007 album, The Greatest Songs of the Seventies. This album, which features 12 songs from the decade of the 1980s, was released on November 24, 2008.
It was announced that Manilow would preview the album on November 20, 2008, on QVC in an hour long show, QVC Live from the Las Vegas Hilton. Additional recordings that didn't make the final cut include "Every Time You Go Away" (released in the UK) and "Biggest Part of Me", "Everybody Wants To Rule the World" and "Every Breath You Take", all 3 of which can be found on the rare "Songs From the Vault" CD.
