The Flying Padovanis are an instrumental band, originally formed in the 1980s by the original guitarist for The Police, Henri Padovani. Their first single, Western Pasta was released in 1981 and was followed by two albums, Font l'Enfer (1982) and They Call Them Crazy (1987). After a period of hiatus, they reformed in 2007 with worldwide touring commitments, and a compilation album entitled Three For Trouble (2007), and a DVD consisting of vintage concert footage and current interviews. The band now plays regular dates in London and France.

Present members, apart from Padovani, include Paul Slack (U.K. Subs, Monica and the Explosion), Chris Musto (Johnny Thunders, The Bermondsey Joyriders, The Philistines, Joe Strummer), Val Haller, James Eller and Glen Matlock. Musto had played with Johnny Thunders for four years until Thunders's death in 1991, and made two albums with Matlock as part of The Philistines, as well as playing with Joe Strummer on the soundtrack to Sid and Nancy.
