The Black Halos are a Vancouver, BC based punk rock band. Their music also included some glam rock.

The band was founded in 1993 by lead singer Billy Hopeless and guitarist Rich Jones, and at first was called The Black Market Babies. They released their first album, Black Halos (Die Young Stay Pretty) in 1999.

The band went through a number of lineup changes, toured around Canada, and released an album, The Violent Years, on Sub Pop Records in 2001. They later signed with History Music. They performed at Canada Music Week in 2007.

The Black Halos' fourth album, We Are Not Alone, came out in 2008. The band had a setback later that year after having their equipment stolen while on tour. They decided to disband, and by 2009 Hopeless had joined the Vancouver band The Bonitos, Millette was playing in Toronto-based band Darlings of Chelsea, and Becvare had rejoined his former band The Lustkillers. Becvare later fronted The Lords of the New Church and Millette moved on to Brutto Monstro and the rock 'n' roll band Midnight Towers. Jones moved to the UK after leaving the band and played with Ginger Wildheart, Dogs D'amour frontman Tyla, and Alec Empire. French plays lead guitar in the rock band Everclear.

The band reformed in 2016, with Hopeless and Jones as well as some new members.

The song "No Tomorrow Girls", from their 2001 album "The Violent Years", was featured in the Xbox 360-exclusive racing video game Forza Motorsport 3.
