The Ayurvedic Trust (AVT), founded in 1950, is a health-related trust in India. It is headquartered at Coimbatore, the second largest city of Tamil Nadu in India. P.S.G. Venkataswamy Naidu and The Arya Vaidya Pharmacy (Cbe) Ltd were instrumental in establishing this trust. The trust promotes authentic Ayurveda, clinical practices based on Ayurveda theories on health and life, research in Ayurveda and awareness on Ayurveda among common public and global scientific community. The Ayurvedic Trust also runs Ayurveda hospitals including The Arya Vaidya Chikitsalayam and Research Institute, which has treated numerous national and international personalities including the former presidents and prime ministers of India.

Because of close association of the Trust and common management with The Arya Vaidya Pharmacy (Cbe) Ltd., the trust headquarters is also known as the clinical wing of The Arya Vaidya Pharmacy (AVP).

The Ayurvedic Trust (AVT) is a public charitable trust established by Arya Vaidyan P. V. Rama Variar along with P. S. G. Venkatasamy Naidu in 1950, The trust has made a scientific impact on the course of Ayurveda with an initiative to scientifically study efficacy of Ayurvedic treatment in Rheumatoid Arthritis along with Indian Council for Medical Research and World Health Organisation (WHO) in 1980's. This was a path breaking moment in Ayurveda with a rigor to study Ayurveda scientifically.

In collaboration with the UCLA Medical School, the institution had a long-term study to see which works better for rheumatoid arthritis, Ayurveda or the Western drug methotrexate.

The activities of the trust although are multi-fold, right from spiritual to full fledged scientific researches is centered to health care. The trust runs temples, hospitals, training Centres, Ayurveda Colleges, Research Centres and other philanthropic health centered establishment. The activities of the trust is centered at the headquarters of the trust known as the Ayurvedic Trust Campus.

The campus has the Arya Vaidya Chikitsalayam and Research Institute which is a 120 bed Ayurvedic Hospital with an attached out patient department also. The Clinical wing was started in the year 1957 and is now known as The Arya Vaidya Chikitsalayam & Research Institute (AVC). AVC offers classical Ayurvedic treatments for a wide range ailments. This Chikitsalayam is one of the first Ayurvedic hospitals to become ISO 9001 : 2000 certified for its compliance with international quality standards. The first ever clinical research project to scientifically evaluate Ayurveda outside the US, funded by the National Institutes of Health, USA was conducted in this hospital.
