Tengku Amir Shah ibni Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (born 12 December 1990) is the current Raja Muda (Crown Prince) of the Malaysian state of Selangor. He is the son and heir to the current Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.
Tengku Amir was born on 12 December 1990, as the third child and first son of the then Raja Muda of Selangor, Tengku Idris Shah. His mother, Nur Lisa Idris Abdullah (Lisa Davis before her conversion to Islam), was born in the United States. As such, he has half American ancestry.
On 3 May 2002, aged 11, Tengku Amir was proclaimed Raja Muda of Selangor. He will be formally installed after he reaches the age of 21.
He attended Wellington College in the United Kingdom and graduated in 2009. Tengku Amir graduated from the University of Leeds in 2014.
He is a patron of a few charitable organisations, including Cheshire Home and the Raja Muda of Selangor Foundation (Yayasan Raja Muda Selangor).
In 2014, a website that publishes fake news falsely reported Tengku Amir converted to Catholicism.
