Temple Independent School District

Temple Independent School District is a public school district based in Temple, Texas (USA). Temple schools began instruction June 13, 1883. It is the fourth largest employer in Temple, with 1300 employees.

In 2011, the school district was rated "academically acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency.

In 2011, TISD Board of Trustees was named "Board of the Year" by the ESC XII Service Center.
