Taronga Zoo ferry services connect Taronga Zoo with Circular Quay by commuter ferry. The services are provided by Harbour City Ferries contract from Sydney Ferries. Vessels in the Lady class generally service these routes. Some F2: Taronga Zoo services are combined with F6: Mosman services, extending to Mosman Bay.

In 2003, the Lady class vessels were refitted, extending their working life to 2018. A sister vessel, Lady Street, was decommissioned at this time.

On 28 June 2012, service was taken over by Harbour City Ferries, a 50/50 joint venture between Transdev Australasia and Transfield Services, on contract to the New South Wales Government.

In 2013, the Taronga Zoo ferry service was given the designation of F2, during the introduction of "The Hop" branding roll out. The aim of this was to simplify transport in Sydney.

Circular Quay is a major Sydney transport hub, with a large ferry, rail and bus interchange. Sydney Ferries services use wharves 2, 3, 4 and 5 at Circular Quay. Each wharf has ticket vending machines and ticket barriers, and is wheelchair-accessible. F2: Taronga Zoo services usually depart from Wharf 2.

The Taronga Zoo ferry wharf is, for many tourists, the preferred mode of entry to Sydney's major zoological park. Passengers disembarking at the wharf, located on Bradleys Head Road, can enter the zoo via a cable car or connect with local Sydney Buses services. Sydney Ferries offers combined "ZooPass" tickets covering ferry fares, park entry and cable car ride or bus fare to the main entrance. The wharf is wheelchair-accessible.

The following chart shows the relative patronage of Sydney Ferries' seven lines in the 2016-17 financial year.
