Tani people

The Tani people are a group of tribes from the state of Arunachal Pradesh which share common Tani languages and certain common beliefs, primarily in Abotani as their primeval ancestor. The group comprises Mishing, Nyishi, Adi, Apatani, Galo and Tagin. They are also often referred to as the Tani group.

Their populace is scattered across larger region of Arunachal Pradesh except Tirap, Changlang, Longding, West Kameng and Tawang.

They have contributed immensely to geopolitics of Arunachal Pradesh and have contributed leaders like Gegong Apang, Nabam Tuki, Tomo Riba, Ninong Ering, Daying Ering, Jarbom Gamlin, Dera Natung and lot more.
