Mishing
Misings also known as earlier as 'Miri', were dwellers of a land now called Arunachal Pradesh in the ancient times. The similar cultural and linguistic affinity of the Misings of the Brahmaputra valley and several other ethnic groups of Arunachal Pradesh especially the Adi community supports the statement that they migrated to Brahmaputra valley in search of fertile land for cultivation.
