Sweet Revenge is the fourth and final album by Generation X. It was recorded in 1979 just before band members Bob "Derwood" Andrews and Mark Laff left the group and the bulk was subsequently re-recorded for the Kiss Me Deadly album. It was not until 1998 that the Sweet Revenge sessions were released, as K.M.D. – Sweet Revenge on the German Empty Records label, and then later as a second disc of the Anthology boxed set in 2003 by EMI Records. An expanded Japanese reissue titled K.M.D. – Sweet Revenge Xtra was also released in 2004 by Revell Yell Music featuring alternate sound engineering. This version also contains different studio versions of "Rock On" and "Your Generation," together with two live tracks recorded in December 1978 in Sheffield.
