The Supercopa Argentina (English: Argentine Super Cup) is an official National association football cup of Argentina organized by the Argentine Football Association (AFA). The annual football match was played for the first time in 2012, being contested by the reigning champions of Primera División and Copa Argentina respectively.
The first edition of the super cup was contested by Boca Juniors (2011–12 Copa Argentina and 2011–12 Apertura winner) and Arsenal (2011–12 Clausura winner). Arsenal won by penalties 4–3 after a 0–0 draw. In the second edition, played on 31 January 2014, Vélez Sarsfield (2012–13 Argentine Primera División winner) beat Arsenal (2012–13 Copa Argentina winner) 1–0 in San Luis.
