Sui Ishida (石田 スイ Ishida Sui?) is a Japanese manga artist. He is best known for his dark fantasy manga, Tokyo Ghoul, a story about a young man named Kaneki Ken who gets transformed into a ghoul, after encountering one. Tokyo Ghoul started as a series of one-shots in 2010, one of which garnered second place at the Weekly Young Jump 113th Grand Prix. The series then ran from 2011 to 2014 in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump magazine, and was later adapted into a light novel and anime series in 2014. The manga was also translated into English where it topped The New York Times Best Seller list in 2015. Serializing since 2014, a continuation of the series, is the sequel, Tokyo Ghoul:re. Even though the Tokyo Ghoul series are his main works he has worked on, he has also worked on few other series before Tokyo Ghoul, which sadly has been removed or not well-known.
