Stettin is a town in Marathon County, Wisconsin, United States. It is part of the Wausau, Wisconsin Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 2,554 at the 2010 census. The unincorporated community of Mount View is located partially in the town. The ghost town of Stettin was also located in the town.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 36.6 square miles (94.7 km2), of which 36.4 square miles (94.2 km2) is land and 0.19 square miles (0.5 km2), or 0.52%, is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 2,191 people, 805 households, and 653 families residing in the town. The population density was 58.9 people per square mile (22.7/km²). There were 828 housing units at an average density of 22.2 per square mile (8.6/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 96.76% White, 0.23% African American, 0.18% Native American, 2.19% Asian, 0.37% from other races, and 0.27% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.64% of the population.
There were 805 households out of which 33.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 73.9% were married couples living together, 4.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 18.8% were non-families. 14.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.72 and the average family size was 3.01.
