Stephen Bruce Mutch (born 4 February 1956) is a former Australian politician. He was educated at the University of New South Wales and became a solicitor in 1979. A member of the Liberal Party, he was a policy advisor until he became a member of the New South Wales Legislative Council in 1988. He held that position until 1996, when he transferred to federal politics, succeeding Don Dobie in the seat of Cook. In 1998, he lost preselection to Bruce Baird, and retired from politics. Mutch also lectures at Macquarie University with the Department of Politics and International Relations.
