Steele is a city in Pemiscot County, Missouri, United States. The population was 2,172 at the 2010 census.
A post office called Steele has been in operation since 1896. The community has the name of L. L. Steele, an early settler. The community was a point along the St. Louis–San Francisco Railway. In 1912, Steele contained seven general stores, three cotton gins, a sawmill and a gristmill.
