Star Wars Battlefront II is an upcoming first and third person shooter video game based on the Star Wars film franchise under development by EA DICE in collaboration with Criterion Games and Motive Studios, and published by Electronic Arts. It is the fourth major installment of the Star Wars: Battlefront series and sixth overall. It is also a sequel to the 2015 reboot of the series. Unlike its predecessor, it features a single player campaign, characters and locations from the prequel and sequel trilogies, and classes in multiplayer.
Iden Versio - Commander of Inferno Squad and member of Imperial Special Forces. She comes from the planet Vardos, a place unique in the galaxy for its unforced acceptance of Imperial rule.
Luke Skywalker - Leader of the New Jedi. Iden holds him to gunpoint at a currently unknown point in the story.
Emperor Palpetine/Darth Sideous - The leader of the Empire. He is killed in the destruction of the Death Star II causing Iden and many others to seek revenge.
The game begins 4 years after the battle of Yavin during the battle of Endor where Iden Versio and Inferno Squad are trekking their way through the Endorian forest...
On May 10, 2016, it was announced that a sequel to the rebooted Star Wars Battlefront is in development and that it would feature content "from the new films".
The game's development was lead by EA DICE in collaboration with Criterion Games and Jade Raymond's Motive Studios.
Bernd Diemer, the creative director of Battlefront II, has stated that the game will not feature a season pass, as that would fragment the community. In regards to what will replace the season pass Diemer states that DICE will "have something different in mind that will allow you to play longer".
