Star Awards 2007 (Chinese: 红星大奖 2007) is a television award ceremony held in Singapore. It is part of the annual Star Awards organised by MediaCorp for MediaCorp TV Channel 8. This year, Star Awards will be scheduled to telecast on two Sunday nights. The first award ceremony will be held on the 9 December 2007, in commemoration of 25 years of dramas in Singapore TV. On 16 December 2007, it will be the regular Star Awards ceremony and post show will be held after that.
Prelude to Star Awards 2007 (星光隧道) will debut on the Oct 18, hosted by Kym Ng and Dasmond Koh. For 9 weeks, the MediaCorp Artistes who would appear as guests will be playing games with family contestants relating to the every MediaCorp produced dramas. Besides that, Charlyn Lin Cuifang will co-host the Star Award roadshow where the 40 Most Popular Male and Female artistes will be going out onto the streets island wide to gain votes.
The Star Awards 25th Drama Anniversary (红星大奖之戏剧情牵25) was a special addition to the usual Star Awards to commemorate 25 years of Chinese drama production by MediaCorp. Special awards were given out in eleven categories, of which six are open for public voting and the rest selected by professional judges. Voting was conducted from 8 October 2007 to 11 November 2007 with results announced and awarded during a televised ceremony on 9 December 2007. It was hosted by Guo Liang and Quan Yi Fong and guest hosted by Bryan Wong and Michelle Chia (for one segment).
