Star Awards 2004 is a television award telecast in 2004 as part of the annual Star Awards organised by MediaCorp for MediaCorp TV Channel 8. It was hosted by Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (Chinese edition) host Chao Chi-Tai and Taiwanese singer and host Matilda Tao. The popularity polls held in Taiwan and Malaysia were discontinued and the newcomer award was reintroduced.
This award is a special achievement award given out to a veteran artiste(s) who have achieved a maximum of 10 popularity awards over 10 years.
MediaCorp artistes would receive the All-Time Favourite award in place of the Top 10 Most Popular Artistes Award once they receive the popularity award for a total of 10 years. They would not be receiving any more popularity awards after receiving this award. This system is implemented so as to let younger MediaCorp artistes have a chance to win the popularity awards as well.
Winners are highlighted in bold.
This award is based on viewership numbers.
